SEEKING HOUSING FOR ACTORS    

Magnus Theatre brings actors and theatre professionals from across Canada to work at Northwestern Ontario’s only professional theatre.  If you have an extra bedroom, basement suite or apartment that might be suitable for a responsible adult theatre professional to live in for 3-8 weeks, we’d love to hear from you!  We’ve had a wonderful community of homeowners who have provided housing for artists in years past and we would love to add you to that list! 

Accommodation providers are asked to provide a safe, clean, private place for performers to sleep and rest and have access to full washroom facilities and shared or private kitchen facilities. Laundry and other facilities are always appreciated. 

The majority of our out-of-town artists do not have their own vehicles, so we try to provide accommodation that is near the theatre or, at the very least, a short bus ride away. 

As many of our artists are still paying for their hometown accommodation while here, we encourage a (negotiable) rental rate of $85-$115 per week as renumeration for hosting.  Guest artists will make their own arrangements for payment with accommodation providers. 

Our Mainstage season runs from September until May with summer productions, school tours, and other productions at various times of the year.
