Ever wonder what inspires writers to tell the stories they do? Or why they make their characters pursue certain courses of action and not others? There’s plenty that goes on inside the writer’s mind when they’re creating a new work, and Magnus is pleased to offer patrons a unique glimpse into the minds of some of Canada’s most brilliant creators.   

Meet the Playwright is offered free of charge to the general public and takes place in the Magnus Theatre auditorium following select performances. The event includes a Q&A session with the playwright and sometimes a reading of an upcoming work.
