THE 2025-2026 MAINSTAGE SEASON
More than any other popular songwriter in recent memory, Harry Chapin was a storyteller. He celebrated the extraordinary lives of ordinary folk, and whether through comedy or pathos, reminded us of a shared emotional heritage. Here, the most inherently theatrical of Chapin's narrative pieces have been assembled, allowing the stories within them to dictate their own dramatic shape.
Big-city radio personality Charlie King just lost his job hosting a hit morning show. And his long-term relationship exploded in a spectacularly embarrassing on-air meltdown. When he's forced to take a job managing a small-town station, he has no idea what’s in store! Not only does a global pandemic begin his first week in Port Belette, he quickly finds himself chasing a story of municipal corruption. Chase the Ace is a hilarious one-man comedy about a down-on-his-luck DJ, a local lottery, and the search for truth in unprecedented times.

Having met in a pub, two sixty-something writers arrive in an old house to continue drinking and talking into the night. All might be well, until the return home of two prickly younger men who bring forth their realities, memories, inclinations, and claims for recognition. Their relationships are exposed, with menace and hilarity, in one of Harold Pinter's most entertaining plays. This exploration of being caught between brute reality and fluid uncertainty is an allegory for our time and will give audiences in the Studio Theatre an intimate and thought-provoking experience.
